This training DVD demonstrates the importance of improving quality of life by assessing and treating depression in older adults.  It provides potential ways to treat the depression, as well as, how to recognize the range of symptoms, and properly interpret the assessment (even when dealing with severely withdrawn or hesitant persons).  The DVD also discusses how multidisciplinary staff can communicate and adapt these findings toward an effective Plan of Care.  (Part of a 28-DVD training series.)
